“Magnolia Cathedral Window” is included in Beth Thompson’s exhibit of kaleidoscopic photography, “Possible Perceptions: Exquisite Shards of Nature.” The show will be on view at Aurum Studios through Thursday, Oct. 9.

ATHENS INSTITUTE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART (ATHICA) (160 Tracy St.) “Advice From the Oceans” features interactive installations by founding members of the Elephant 6 Recording Company. Part of the Athens Celebrates Elephant 6 series. Through Nov. 16.
