Kelsey Wishik
Four new exhibitions open this week at UGA’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. Graduate candidates Mary Gordon, Alex McClay and Ciel Rodriguez play with materials that cast shadows in “Golden Hour,” while graduate candidate Kelsey Wishik touches on spiritual practices, the inner architecture of natural systems and ritualization through object-making in “The Elements of Myth.” The annual “Scientific & Medical Illustration Juried Exhibition” presents works by UGA undergraduate students and Augusta University graduate students. Dodd Fellow in Photography Amiko Li, who will offer a performance piece during the opening reception, explores phenomena surrounding the treatment of mind and body in “The Purpose of Disease.”
Enjoy a reception celebrating the opening of four new exhibits: "The Purpose of Disease" by Amiko Li, "Golden Hour" by Mary Gordon, Alex McCrary and Ciel Rodriguez, "The Elements of Myth" by Kelsey Wishik and the "Scientific & Medical Illustration Juried Exhibition," featuring the work of UGA students alongside graduate students in Medical Illustration at Augusta University.
