The Athens Area Arts Council will host a special seminar, "Taxes 101 for Artists," to help people with creative careers better prepare for tax season. The lunchtime learning session—set for 12–1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17 at the Lyndon House Arts Center—features Michelle Griffith of Little House Accounting, who will explore common issues related to freelance and artistic professions like which deductions to take and how to keep track of expenses.

Packed lunches are welcome, or $10 meals can be ordered in advance from Pulaski Heights BBQ and delivered to the event.
