A trifecta
Three places that were serving country cooking in Athens are now shuttered. Piccadilly Cafeteria out the Georgia Square Mall, Talk of the Town in the Gateway Shopping Center and Honey B's Deli on Prince Avenue have all closed. Places reliant on low prices are probably in a tougher spot than most in the industry. On the bright side, Fresh Market should be opening Wednesday in Beechwood, enlivening the upper section of the shopping center once again.
Also, the web store for The Grit and Ted's Most Best, retailing cookbooks (15% of proceeds to Nuçi's Space) and t-shirts, is up and running. Woo!
