The much-anticipated Donna Chang's, in Five Points, is kinda, sorta open for business, and from what I hear, has been very busy despite a very quiet soft open. For now, it's dinner only, five nights a week (closed Tuesday and Wednesday; 5–10 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Sunday; 5–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday), but more nights and lunch will be added. Menu is up on the website linked.
Wok's Up, out on Epps Bridge Parkway, in the newish shopping center off the Oconee Connector, is also open, quietly. Build your own stir-fry (steak, chicken, shrimp, pork, tofu, veggies, sauce, rice, noodles) or pick one of the predetermined combinations of ingredients.
The former A-OK Cafe, underneath Marvin's Shoe Service, has closed and reopened under a new name (Bubble Cafe), with new owners and with a very similar but slightly expanded menu that now includes bubble tea and "Asian specialties."
The Olive Basket, the specialty oil and vinegar store currently in the Bottleworks, on Prince, is moving to a new location on Macon Highway in the somewhat-near future.
Barberitos No. 6 in the Athens area (this one by the Space Kroger on U.S. 29 N) is open for business.
The Village at Cedar Shoals shopping center is getting a location of mall chain American Deli.
