Journey Juice to Open in Normaltown

journey juice.jpg

If you've been wondering what might take over the space at Prince and Satula vacated by Honey B's, you may well have noticed a new sign appear on the building's exterior for Journey Juice. It's not open yet, but if all goes well (note: If you know anything about opening a business, you know it rarely does), the cold-pressed juicery should be open in about two weeks.

I can hardly think of anything more different than the grease palace it was previously than this focus on organic produce, raw processing and health, conveniently and interestingly located right by UGA's new Health Sciences Campus. Co-owner Nabil Abouharb (above, left), whose dad owns The Sultan, is working with Brandon George and Jim Thomas to produce fruit and vegetable juices, as well as almond milk, and package them in a variety of ways.

If you want to sample the juices before the store opens, you can visit their booth at the Athens Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, where they plan to continue for some time, even after the brick-and-mortar business is up and running, or at Athfest this June. They'll also offer three-day juice cleanses and be open seven days a week, from early a.m. to early evening.

Journey Juice does both Facebook and Twitter, if you want to follow along as they get closer to opening.
