Bain Mattox

Feeling like you need some elbow room at Normal Bar, especially after that whole Southern Living thing? Wondering what's happening in the space next door, which most recently housed the Sew Normal Studio but is currently empty? Owner Bain Mattox is here to serve.

Mattox confirms that "Normal Bar will be expanding into the adjacent space to offer more seating as well as a rentable event space. We are projecting opening it up by March and will be connected to Normal Bar with a closeable pass-through." Nice.

Mattox also confirms that, instead of Eddie Russell and Matt Palmerlee's Taco Lupo moving into the former Pizza Hut space at the corner of Prince and Oglethorpe Avenues, as was reported in December, he and Luna Bakery owner Matt Downes will be opening a pizzeria there.

More details about the latter bit of news will be coming within a few days, but Mattox says he has some i's to dot and t's to cross.
