Ahi Hibachi and Poké may not have a real sign yet, but it's been open for business for a few days now, in the space on East Clayton recently vacated by Cozy Yum Yum (which moved back to its original location on Jackson Street), next to Athens Wok.

Athens hasn't had a poké restaurant yet, despite the trend exploding all over Atlanta. It's basically a Hawaiian version of chirashi sushi, or a bowl of rice topped with sliced fish (raw or cooked) and/or veggies.

The poké bowls you can get at Ahi let you choose sushi rice, brown rice or a salad as your base, then top with raw tuna, raw salmon, cooked shrimp, tofu or crab, plus other toppings that include pineapple, seaweed salad, roe, wasabi, corn, onions, avocado, cucumber, jalapenos, ginger and more. The restaurant also has some fairly straightforward hibachi choices.

Ahi is open for lunch and dinner every day, delivers through Cosmic Delivery and is offering free miso soup for folks with an order over $10.
