The number of folks complaining about the quick shuttering of Taj Mahal on Baxter, which had been in business for some years retailing Indian, Afghan, English and other specialties, was significant, judging from my Facebook feed. And there was no word on when or, god forbid, if it might show up again. But it seems that it's a relocation, not a permanent closure. A sign next to St. Mary's Thrift Shop on Broad, near Alps, in what was a title pawn shop, says Taj Mahal is coming soon. Unless it's a miniature replica of the Indian mausoleum, I think we can all breathe a little easier. Cross your fingers that the tandoori in the parking lot will also return.
