From now until Dec. 30, music editor Gabe Vodicka will reveal his top 10 (non-local) albums of 2015, and news editor Blake Aued (along with his 17-month-old daughter, Iris) will review each selection in response.
1. Sufjan Stevens: Carrie & Lowell
Gabe: I never expected to fall in love with another Sufjan Stevens album, but here we are. His best work in years was also my overall favorite of this year—the album I came back to more than any other. Carrie & Lowell was hushed, humble and absolutely devastating.
Blake: I heard this song in a chain restaurant the other day and thought it was The Shins. Make of that what you will.
Iris: "Whatever, man, I gave up on Sufjan Stevens when he punked out on the 50 States Project. This is OK, though, I guess." Two milks out of four.
