Cousin Dan Shot Outside of Atlanta Bar

The performance artist and musician was shot early this morning, is recovering.

Creative Loafing reports that Atlanta-based performance artist and musician Cousin Dan, whose real name is Daniel Scoggins, was shot around 3 a.m. Friday, after leaving popular Cabbagetown watering hole 97 Estoria.

Dan posted the picture seen above on his Instagram account this morning, along with a bloody photo that was captioned "exit wounds."

But don't worry, folks, Cousin Dan is gonna be alright: Creative Loafing music editor (and occasional Flagpole contributor) Chad Radford posted the following in the comments section of CL's music blog:

I just spoke with Cousin Dan: He was leaving the bar last night when he was approached by two hooded men. One of them said "What's up with it?" and started shooting. One bullet went into the right side of his lower back, chipped the top of his hip, and came out through the side of his stomach. He says he's been better, but he is heading home from the hospital now.

Atlanta police have not made any arrests.
