Best Buy Is Moving to Oconee County
Best Buy is the latest chain retailer to move to the new Epps Bridge Centre outdoor mall in Oconee County, reports Lee Becker, leaving another empty big box on Atlanta Highway.
Pier 1 Imports, Alumni Hall, the Gap and Old Navy have also moved from Atlanta Highway to the new development.
A committee chaired by Athens-Clarke County Commissioner Mike Hamby is looking at ways to revitalize the aging commercial corridor. Some of the empty stores are already filling up.
