Traffic will get pretty hairy in the downtown area this afternoon as UGA’s homecoming parade gets underway.
One block of College Avenue will be closed at 3 p.m. to set up a stage, according to Athens-Clarke County police. Dougherty Street will be closed at 4 p.m.
The parade runs from 6–7:30 p.m., and other downtown streets will be closed intermittently during that time.
Here’s a full schedule of Homecoming-related events.
The Bulldogs, trying to salvage their season, take on the Missouri Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The game airs on ESPN the SEC Network.
