What's cooler than cool? Hice cold.

Today, PolitiFact Georgia celebrated its fifth anniversary by looking back at some of its favorite lies. The website, which fact-checks politicians' claims, listed statements by Athens' once and current congressmen, Paul Broun and Jody Hice, among its Top 5 "false" ratings.

Broun, who represented Athens from 2007–2013, said on the House floor in 2011 that President Franklin D. Roosevelt "sent his advisers, his close-held friends, his Cabinet people, to go visit with Stalin in communist Russia to study what... Stalin was doing there so that FDR could replicate it here in the United States."

"Broun needs to brush up on his history before he gives his next lecture," PolitiFact ruled.

Hice, elected to replace Broun last year, quoted Thomas Jefferson as saying, "That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."

Jefferson, however, said no such thing.

Frankly, that choice was a bit of a disappointment. How does misattributing a quote make it over the blood moon? (Likely because blood moons won a "pants on fire" rating.)

The City of Atlanta, conservative talk-radio host Larry Elder and former Georgia Emergency Management Agency Director Charley English round out the list.
