The University of Georgia Staff Council put off a discussion on Legion Pool Wednesday, The Red & Black reported.
Brenda Keen, business manager for The Georgia Review, proposed the motion for the Staff Council to “support the renovation of historic Legion Pool.” But the motion was tabled by majority voice vote until more information is gathered.
Keen’s motion will be discussed again at the next meeting scheduled for Nov. 7.
The University System Board of Regents was supposed to vote on whether to demolish Legion Pool and replace it with a new, smaller one at Lake Herrick, but the vote has been put off indefinitely, UGA President Michael Adams said last week.
