The Red & Black set off a shitstorm today when, in an editorial decrying the failure of several local businesses, it falsely reported that the popular locally owned bookstore Avid is closing (it has since been corrected online).
We feel bad for Janet Geddis and crew for having to deal with this, but the panicked Avid Twitter feed is still pretty entertaining reading:

Anyway, we're glad Avid isn't closing, and we hope the kidz at the R&B learned not to report a rumor unless, y'know, you call the person involved and confirm it first.
