Athens Transit Service and Other Stuff That's Canceled Because #Snowpocalypse

The following events on Tuesday, Feb. 11, Wednesday, Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 13 have been cancelled or postponed. Check back for updates.

  • Rabbit Box Storytelling at the Melting Point, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, has been moved to Monday, Feb. 24.
  • Terrapin Tuesday with Drew Kohl at the Melting Point has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 16.
  • Avid Bookshop closed 3 p.m. Tuesday and will be closed Wednesday. The Molly Antopol reading has been postponed.
  • The Grit will close at 3 p.m. today and has decided to stay open Tuesday night and will open at noon Wednesday but is closed Wednesday.
  • Treehouse Kid & Craft classes are canceled and the shop is closed on Wednesday.
  • Daily Grocery closed at 3 p.m. Tuesday and will reopen on Thursday.
  • Independent Baking Co. ran out of bread Tuesday, but will reopen Wednesday at 8:30am with MOAR BREAD.
  • Athens-Clarke County is providing only emergency services. The courthouse is closed Wednesday, so don't show up for jury duty or whatever.
  • Athens Transit is running hourly Tuesday but not running at all Wednesday.
  • The Carl Lindberg show at New Earth has been canceled.
  • Earth Fare is closed on Wednesday.
  • Poet and playwrite Nathalie Handal's visit to UGA Thursday has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
  • Scholar Nora Gámez Torres’ Feb. 13 talk at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music has been postponed.
  • The singer-songwriter showcase at Flicker Theatre & Bar has been moved to next Wednesday, Feb. 19.
  • Wednesday's Cole Swindell show at the Georgia Theatre has been moved to Apr. 16.
