Seattleites Rose Windows entered the national conversation with this summer's The Sun Dogs, the band's striking debut for hometown heavyweight Sub Pop. Alternately demure and driving, the group's flute-tinged tunes recall another era entirely, one of long-haired dudes and flowing floral prints. The group allows its decidedly psychedelic music to unfold organically and at its own deliberate pace, an imagined soundtrack to some hazy, pastoral scene.
