3rd Annual Autumn Harvest Feast
Sunday, Oct. 6 @ The Hill
By Sarah Temple Stevenson
Much to the delight of local gastronomes, this year's Autumn Harvest Feast has added more local chefs to its lineup. Presented by the
Athens Farmers Market, 14 chefs will use local ingredients to create dishes benefiting your taste buds as well as
Wholesome Wave Georgia, an organization dedicated to increasing the availability of wholesome, locally grown food to under-served communities. A known advocate for "producer-only" farmers markets, WWG is also an upholder of Double Dollars for EBT cardholders, which benefits both the local shopper and the local farmer. Restaurants represented include Last Resort Grill, The Grit, Five & Ten and The National, among others. A family-style dinner will be accompanied by live music from String Theory and welcoming remarks by
Flagpole’s Pete McCommons. This 3rd Annual Autumn Harvest Feast promises to gratify your tummy as well as your community. This event is from 4–7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $60.
