For the sixth year, the CCAMF returns to the Melting Point this holiday weekend with a particularly impressive lineup spearheaded by satin-voiced Athens expat Lera Lynn—who, by the way, will finally release her sophomore album, The Avenues, Sept. 9—as well as local favorites Packway Handle Band, Dangfly, Norma Rae, Bloodkin, BlueBilly Grit, Betsy Franck, Grassland String Band and many others. In case you couldn't tell, this is an Americana-focused event through and through. (See the full lineup in this week's Calendar.) Come hungry, 'cause a selection of classic Fourth foods—BBQ, hot dogs, fried everything—will be available from the Melting Point's capable kitchen.
