Returning to Athens in support of its first full-length studio album, Bass Treble Angel Devil, Asheville, NC-based trio The Get Right Band brings a mix of positive vibes, funky rhythms and goofy musical mischief. On the album and on tour, two former members of Asheville jam band Soulgrass Rebellion—singer/guitarist Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry—are joined by timekeeper Jian-Claude Mears, who took over for the band's former drummer, Chris Pyle (ex-Royal Trux). “This record was made to get you right,” says Durocher. “The title refers to the crazy, beautiful, mixed-up yin/yang ball of contradictions that is life. The album balances different genres and lyrically moves through the joys and challenges of friendship, work, love lost and love found, and the all-encompassing energy we’re all a part of."
