Ty Segall may lay claim to the best glam-rock record of 2014 so far, but Broncho's Just Enough Hip to Be Woman, out this week via Canadian imprint Dine Alone, comes in a close second. The Oklahoma-based trio's terrific, if unfortunately titled, new album abandons the all-out fuzz-bombing of its previous work in favor of butt-shaking groove and power-pop sweetness, third-wave garage-rock very nearly grown up but still looking to party. There's also enough modern indie-pop sensibility mixed in to keep the festival crowds coming back. Tuesday's show is a chance to see Broncho at a small, sweaty venue while you still can.
