The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission recently named Todd Bressi as Public Art Master Planner, a newly created role responsible for strategizing a long-term vision for local, creative place-making projects. As a professional urban designer, public art consultant, writer and educator, Bressi has two decades of experience in consulting with various government agencies, private developers and community groups across the country. His lecture “Transforming the City, One Community at a Time” will describe his experience as the director of muraLAB for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, one of the world’s leading mural programs. The lecture marks the beginning of the planning process which will continue through spring, and community input is vital.
