Aaron Hequembourg
The Athens Academy is hosting a special weekend open house for four ongoing exhibits featuring the work of local artists working in distinct styles. The artists will be present for discussion of their work, and refreshments will be provided. John Grohlson’s “Rosa Bellum” is a painted series of colorful abstracted roses. A varied selection of organic sculptures by Barbara Odil is displayed in wall cases reminiscent of a scientific curio cabinet. “Living in History” by Aaron Hequembourg is an intimate series addressing contemporary social conflicts. “Mentor/Mentee” places side-by-side the work of students and professors of UGA’s Dodd School of Art.
See Aaron Hequebourg's "Living in History," John Grohlson's "Rosa Bellum," sculptures by Barbara Odil and "Mentor/Mentee," artwork by students and professors and UGA's Lamar Dodd School of Art. See Calendar Pick on p. 20.
