Janeane Garofalo helped define the '90s with her sardonic tone, a punk-ish style that fit perfectly with the alternative craze and her appearances in Reality Bites, “The Ben Stiller Show” and more. She's never been boxed in by that decade, though, and grew legitimately edgy as she became outspokenly political throughout the 2000s. The actress, activist and former radio host's latest stand-up tour brings her to the 40 Watt this week, where her trenchant stories will range from the personal to the political.
