Homeshake
Montreal-based musician Peter Sagar made a name for himself as the former guitarist for indie rock goofball Mac DeMarco’s touring band, but his personal project, Homeshake, hits just as many pleasure points. Drawing inspiration from soul and R&B, Homeshake’s output thus far has consisted of two lo-fi full-lengths: 2014’s low-key In the Shower and 2015’s more synth-heavy Midnight Snack. “Call Me Up,” the first taste from Sagar’s forthcoming album, Fresh Air, expands on Midnight Snack’s late-night allure while allowing the songwriter to flex his smooth falsetto. Local up-and-comers Juan de Fuca and Neighbor Lady, as well as Atlanta’s Sea Ghost, open the show.
