Faun and a Pan Flute
It’s been a year of change for Atlanta’s experimental rock ensemble Faun and a Pan Flute. Much of the group’s time was spent on the road, sharpening its ever-evolving math-rock, jazz and hippie avant-garde excursions. The arrival of Faun’s second proper full-length is imminent, although details regarding its title or release date remain TBA. In November, guitarist Adam Babar parted ways with the group, shaking things up a bit. But the band’s remaining eight members are filling the void with spacious new arrangements. Expect a set filled with psychedelic reinventions of staple songs such as “Brevity” and “Dave II,” along with a handful of brand new numbers.
