Bombadil
Durham, NC folk-pop trio Bombadil was forced to reconsider its writing and recording process in early 2015 following the departure of founding guitarist Bryan Rahija. The band churned out the stopgap Still Bombadil EP before adding Stacy Harden to the fray and moving forward. After the restored trio completed a series of demos in Massachusetts, Bombadil headed to San Francisco to work on its eighth album, Fences, with producer John Vanderslice. Those sessions resulted in a no-frills, back-to-basics analog folk album emphasizing the group’s trademark vocal harmonies. Greater Pyrenees, the new project from Sean Kirkpatrick—the former guitarist for jagged, emotive Mississippi indie rockers Colour Revolt—will open the show.
