Airmen of Note
Kicking off the long Memorial Day weekend, the United States Air Force Airmen of Note will visit the Classic City as part of their four-date tour. The performance primarily focuses on selections from the group’s recent studio recording session, which features songs written by USAF veterans and arranged by current band members. Additional highlights include music from the group’s Summer Concert Series, as well as a Jazz Heritage Series. Established in 1950, the premier jazz ensemble is based in Washington, DC and currently includes 18 active-duty musicians. Tickets are required, and can be reserved in advance through the Classic Center’s box office.
