The Hernies
Two of Athens’ most essential young indie-rock bands team up this weekend at the venue with (arguably) the best view in town. The free rooftop party is being thrown in honor of the vinyl release of The Hernies’ recent debut LP, If You Can’t Think, Then You Cannot Be Afraid of the Consequences of Your Actions, out now on local imprint Orange Twin. Openers Deep State also put out a very nice new record this spring in the rollicking Thought Garden. These few post-Memorial Day weeks are a perfect time to catch up on all the great local music that’s come out this year so far before diving into the AthFest madness, so scoot up to the roof on Saturday and do the thing.
