Tomatoes at Terrapin
The Athens Nurses Clinic’s summer fundraiser combines two of Georgia’s best products: craft brews and ripe tomatoes. The eighth annual event includes souvenir glasses, brewery tours and all-you-can eat sandwiches made from locally grown tomatoes donated by regional farmers. Music will be provided by The Common People Band, which has been performing Motown, soul and funk hits for well over a decade. In its 26th year of operation, the ANC provides free screenings, treatment and educational resources to uninsured or low-to-no-income residents of Athens and surrounding communities. Its services range from prescription assistance to women’s health, dentistry, chronic disease management, counseling and more.
Sandwiches made with locally-grown tomatoes and Terrapin beer are available. Proceeds benefit the Athens Nurses Clinic. Live music by the Common People Band.
