Jacob Wenzka
“Monochromatic: the Art of Jacob Wenzka” is a collection of paintings and prints, several of which depict hyper-detailed floating cities with towers stretching into every direction. Sunday’s closing reception doubles as the release party for The Girl Who Kept Night in Her Closet, a new children’s book written by Bart King and illustrated by Wenzka. The duo, whose past collaboration Juniper Gets Wet inspired Canopy Studio’s recent aerial arts production, will offer readings and signed copies of books and prints. While at Pixel & Ink, visitors are encouraged to climb the stairs to Trio Contemporary Art Gallery and view the group exhibition “#colortheory.”
