This gallery show invited artists to contemplate what the concept of “home” means to them. Manicured or messy, intimate or inviting, these pieces reflect a level of comfort and familiarity. Highlights include a portrait of a girl with her houseplants and black cat by Cameron Bliss, a found object assemblage by Lisa Freeman, photographs of beautiful old homes by Emily Llamazales, and a folkloric graphite-and-ink illustration by Kristen Hyink. Thirty-three artists contributed work, including Andrea Wellnitz, Chris Taylor, Cricket Bancroft, Lea Purvis and Melody Croft. The exhibition can be visited during shop hours through Jan. 15.
"Home for the Holidays" presents artists' interpretation of the theme "home." See Calendar Pick on p. 20.
