Artwork by Zane Logan is included in “Tripwire”
Four new exhibitions will present engaging works by both student and professional artists this season in the Dodd Galleries. Curated by MFA candidate Deepanjan Mukhopadhyay, “Tripwire” addresses anxieties pertaining to dislocation, home, surveillance and technology through works of immigrant artists and artists from the American South. In “This is a Developing Story,” Los Angeles-based artist Amanda Ross-Ho combines video, sculpture and textiles into a theatrical tableau. Jon Vogt’s solo show “Oscillations” features collaged colored pencil drawings resembling waveforms. Exploring the importance of transparency in communication, undergraduates Sarah Kennedy and Trent Johnson offer a series of collaborative prints, sculptures and videos in “We Have So Much to Talk About.”
(S264) The solo exhibition of paintings by Lee Coffey is entitled, "Five Trucks & Willem Defoe Jesus."
