Joey Weiser's Mermin
Local author and illustrator Joey Weiser will speak on his Mermin graphic novel series during an all-ages event. Nominated for an Eisner Award, the “fish out of water” series follows a sea creature who escapes from his underwater kingdom and washes up on a beach, where he is discovered by human children and taken home. A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, his comics have also appeared in anthologies including SpongeBob Comics and the Flight series. Books will be available to purchase during a reception following the discussion, and Weiser will be available to sign or sketch inside of copies.
