The BoDeans fit quite a few desirable molds cast for guitar-driven bands in the ’80s and ’90s. The little-heartland-rock-band-that-could explored U2-style arena rock in the aftermath of its head-turning 1986 debut, Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams. BoDeans singer Kurt Neumann and his supporting cast adapted to rock's post-grunge landscape, charting several singles after "Closer to Free" became the iconic theme song of TV's “Party of Five” in 1994. Since reuniting in the early aughts, the band has continued cranking out new material. Its most recent album, Thirteen, came out last year and honors the band's Americana roots without turning away fans nostalgic for the hits.
BODEANS Long-running, Wisconsin-based band specializing in rootsy alternative rock.
