Banff Film Festival
A program of Canada’s Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, the Banff Mountain Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in the world. Its visit to Athens, presented by Half Moon Outfitters, is one of approximately 550 stops spread among 40 countries that are planned for the current tour. Hoping to inspire viewers to get outdoors and engage with the natural world, the lineup of films ranges in subject from action sports to cultural exploration and environmental stewardship. Adrenaline-packed footage of climbing, skiing and kayaking is often played back-to-back with films focused on raising awareness for pressing issues or drawing attention to exotic landscapes.
