Over 30 years into his run as the Rev. Horton Heat, singer, songwriter and guitarist Jim Heath retains his crown as the undisputed king of punk-informed rockabilly. This path began when Heath first saw The Cramps perform live and has continued since the 1985 formation of his still-active punkabilly trio. Lux Interior and Poison Ivy's injection of punk fury and lewd humor into surf rock, country and rockabilly impacts the lightning fast, roots-informed rebellion of "Psychobilly Freakout," "Wiggle Stick," "I Can't Surf" and other memorable cuts from the Reverend's ongoing career. The trio honors its roots while upholding the humor, danger and unpredictability that keeps punk rock's spirit off life support.
