Though she is often linked with the NYC anti-folk scene that spawned dirtbag deadpanners like Jeffrey Lewis and The Moldy Peaches, Charlottesville, VA singer and multi-instrumentalist Diane Cluck is a true explorer, as evidenced by 2014’s stunning mini-LP Boneset. Cluck’s is technicolor music, with her able, elastic singing voice its beating heart. A blend of sinewy guitar, skittering rhythm and Appalachian melody, the record stands as Cluck’s finest—and most recent—studio work. Since 2012, she has also maintained a subscription-based song-of-the-week project through her website. She’ll appear at Go Bar on Tuesday alongside locals Domestic and Madeline Polites.
DIANE CLUCK Eclectic folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Virginia.
MADELINE POLITES The leader of local experimental pop band Immaterial Possession plays a solo set.
