The 16th annual “Perspectives: Georgia Pottery Invitational” kicks off with an opening gala and preview sale featuring a buffet, live jazz and first dibs on pottery. The main attraction, located in Rocket Hall, has 6,000 functional and decorative pieces produced by 50 of Georgia’s top potters. On view in the Main Gallery, “Participating Potters: 2018” includes two favorite pots by each of the artists in addition to one piece selected from their collections. “A New Direction,” on view in the Members Gallery, will showcase figurative ceramic vessels, wall installations and sculptures by Jennifer Graff. The Hall Gallery’s “Yes, it is clay” features detailed sculptures by Keok Lim. “Perspectives” will remain on view through Sept. 16.
