“Bomb Shelter” by Lisa Freeman
Highlighting a new season of exhibitions, the Lyndon House will host an artist talk with Lisa Freeman, Shawn Campbell and Chase Campbell. Inspired by wartime atrocities, Freeman’s solo exhibition, “So It Goes,” demonstrates her ability to traverse media by pairing painted portraits of forlorn children with small-scale assemblages that incorporate clay figurines and found objects. Shawn’s series of photographs, “The End of a Perfect Day,” provides a curious look into tailgating culture at UGA. Chase will speak on behalf of the group exhibition “Present & Accounted For,” which highlights members of the US Artist Collective, a student group dedicated to elevating the visibility of underrepresented artists at UGA.
