With eclectic instrumentation—horns, woodwinds, hammer dulcimer—and owing to various world influences, Barnes and partner Heather Trost’s latest album, Forest Bathing, is a captivating outing that crosses musical and metaphorical boundaries. The idyllic Orange Twin opens its gates Wednesday for a rare public event featuring A Hawk and a Hacksaw and openers Shelley Short and Darren Hanlon. No dogs or glass are allowed.
