Part performance art, part bloodthirsty spectacle, South East Women’s Wrestling was formed as a feminist collective to creatively construct alter egos, reclaim the sport from hyper-masculinity and “smash the patriarchy one rumble at a time.” This time around will feature matches between Anna May and Jucifer, Swissmiss and Ragdoll, Miss Mantis and Misery Musume, The Final Girl and Butch Chastity, The Hairstresser and Dr. Marie Fury, and Janet from Finance. In addition to ring-boy tryouts and a Halloween costume contest, entertainment includes live music from Lambda Celsius, Nihilist Cheerleader and Awkward Thrust. Coinciding with Kindercore’s one-year anniversary, the event will raise funds for Girls Rock Athens.
