Halloween Athventure
From Eagle Tavern to the T.R.R. Cobb House to the very building where this event takes place, Athens has no shortage of haunting legends. For an evening of spooky stories, local playwrights Bowen Craig and Mark Katzman have adapted tales from Ghosts of Athens: History and Hauntings of Athens, Georgia by Tracy L. Adkins and Dixie Ghosts by Hans Holzer to be read by members of Circle Ensemble Theatre, Rose of Athens, UGA Theatre and Town & Gown. Singer-songwriter Michael Gerard Levasseur of local band The Moonshine will also perform a set of ghost troubadour songs. Presented by Athens Uncharted, the performances will be followed by a book signing with Adkins.
