Still fresh out of the Chicago DIY scene, Post Animal is in its second year of touring and has moved from the basements of its hometown to festival stages across the country. The light of the small screen shone on the psych-rock group when original guitarist Joe Keery became known for his role as Steve Harrington on Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things.” Although Keery is no longer an active member of the band, his contributions can be heard on its debut album, When I Think of You in a Castle, which was released in April. The record bristles with fills and fiery guitars that can as easily melt into a pop chorus as a sludgy end. Illiterate Light and Shane T share Wednesday’s bill.
