Family Computer: Familiar Interiors

Saturday, Feb. 9 @ Creature Comforts

An homage to the intertwining histories of art and video-game graphics, “Family Computer: Familiar Interiors” is a series of pixelated cyanotypes by Atlanta artist Ashley Anderson. Building upon a collection that was shown at Kibbee Gallery in Atlanta last October, this installment focuses on the landscapes of classic video games. The pixelated imagery of Nintendo worlds is translated through a centuries-old photographic process that uses varying sunlight exposure times to create silhouettes in shades of blue. Supported by the brewery’s Get Artistic program, Anderson will offer a cyanotype workshop on the exhibition’s closing day, Mar. 24, with pre-registration available online.
