Car Seat Headrest, Naked Giants

Wednesday, Feb. 20 @ Georgia Theatre

Car Seat Headrest started off as a bedroom-pop project and has become one of the most beloved indie-rock bands of the 21st Century. Once singer and guitarist Will Toledo’s solo DIY pseudonym, CSH gained success after Toledo signed to Matador in 2015 and evolved the project into a full-fledged rock quartet. Despite the expansion, the deeply personal songwriting and lo-fi aesthetic Toledo started out with is still present in the band’s newer, high-budget material. In fact, the group has re-recorded much of Toledo’s old music, showcasing it to a whole new audience. Though the current version of CSH is in its infancy, the band performs with the confidence and skill of a legacy act that’s been around for decades.
