Middle Class Revolt

Described as an exploration of the dark places within the human soul, “Middle Class Revolt” touches on the dichotomy between good and evil through collages by Kenneth Aguar and paintings by Matty Goldstein. Aguar, who also performs as 8-Track Gorilla, cuts and pastes vintage imagery from science fiction, fantasy and ’60s–’70s popular culture, like pin-up models, movie monsters and comic book text. Goldstein, who is an artist at Chico Lou’s Fine Tattoos, pushes traditional tattoo flash style by drawing eclectic designs like a winged eyeball, electric cobra and snarling tiger. Both Aguar and Goldstein will be present at the closing reception to discuss their works.
