The Exception

Dedicated to celebrating films of Jewish interest and promoting emerging filmmakers, the 11th annual festival kicks off on Mar. 23 with an opening gala and seated dinner at Wall & Broad before heading over to Ciné for a screening of The Exception. This year’s lineup of films includes Shoelaces, Promise at Dawn and The Cakemaker on Mar. 24; Fog in August and Shelter on Mar. 25; and Above the Drowning Sea and The Interpreter on Mar. 26. Winners of the shorts competition and An Act of Defiance will be screened during a closing night party on Mar. 27. Visit athensjff.org for film synopses and event times.
