Using unconventional instruments made from “wood, metal, strings and springs and gutter electronics,” Los Angeles duo Pedestrian Deposit navigates the darkest corners of experimental sound with violent, blissful abandon. Shannon Kennedy and Jonathan Borges play ATHICA as part of a national tour, where they will be joined by some of Athens’ finest musical rovers. Local twosome Wet Garden creates sparkling, techno-adjacent atmospheres that engage as they unnerve. The bill will also feature solo sets from Grant and Rachel Evans, scene anchors known for their work under various pseudonyms, including Motion Sickness of Time Travel, Quiet Evenings and, most recently, Ornamental Hairpin, which releases a new tape Apr. 1 via the Evans’ Adversary label.
